FAQ

Is Riftbloom based on another game?

No. Riftbloom's name, world, story, characters and mechanics are original. This wiki's layout (main page, mechanics, items, locations, NPCs, progression) follows the style of community game wikis so it is easy to navigate.

Is there a gacha?

No. Every Echo, weapon and Charm is earned through play. Any future monetization would be cosmetics only (see Economy).

Is it open world?

It is an open-zone world. Each region is a large hand-built zone linked through the Hearthport hub and fast-travel Waystones. Rifts are instanced dungeons.

Single-player or multiplayer?

Single-player first. Drop-in 2–4 player co-op for Rifts is a stretch goal after the vertical slice (see Roadmap).

What engine and tools?

Unreal Engine 5.5+ with C++ and Blueprints, the Gameplay Ability System, and Blender driven by the Blender MCP for modeling, rigging and exporting assets. See Development.
